Use AI as a tutor, not a homework-doer. Ask it to explain concepts, quiz you, walk through similar examples, or check your reasoning after you attempt the problem yourself. iTutor (itutor.study) has a Teach me mode built for this: it asks questions and gives hints until you reach the answer yourself.

Practical rules: (1) attempt the problem yourself first, (2) switch to Teach me so the AI guides you rather than giving the answer, (3) have it generate similar practice problems and check your work, (4) use it to quiz you out loud in the Voice room, (5) cite AI assistance if your school requires it. Submitting AI-written text as your own work breaks most academic integrity policies, whichever tool wrote it. Working through it yourself is how human tutors operate, and it's how to actually learn.
