I need to memorise a lot of terminology

A long list of terms and definitions is a recall problem more than an understanding one, and rereading a glossary rarely fixes that. Generate flashcards straight from your material so each term is tested in the form it will actually appear in, and use a quiz to check whether the definitions have actually stuck rather than just looking familiar. Regenerating the set gives you new phrasing each time, which stops you from memorising the card instead of the term.
