How does spaced repetition work?

Spaced repetition shows you a flashcard right before you would forget it, stretching the interval each time you remember it correctly. Forget once? The interval resets. This pattern matches how memory consolidates and dramatically reduces total study time vs blocked review.

More detail

iTutor uses a modern spaced-repetition algorithm (similar to FSRS) that learns your personal forgetting curve — some students forget faster than others, and iTutor adjusts. Each card's next review is scheduled based on how confident you were on the last review. Over weeks, you spend most of your time on cards you almost forgot, and very little on cards you have mastered.
