Alat AI untuk Pelajar Universiti

iTutor Team 20 Disember 2025

University is a different beast from high school. More reading, more writing, more self-direction, less hand-holding. AI tools, used well, can change what's manageable in a 60-hour week of coursework.

For keeping up with readings

If you're assigned 300 pages a week across four classes, you're not reading every word. No one is. AI helps you triage.

  • NotebookLM — upload your readings, get grounded summaries and Q&A against your actual sources
  • Readwise Reader — AI-enhanced reading app that highlights key passages
  • iTutor — paste in excerpts and discuss them conversationally, including "what would an exam ask about this?"

Key rule: never skip a reading entirely and rely on AI summaries. Skim the text yourself, then use AI to deepen or clarify.

For research papers

Elicit and Consensus are the two tools to know. They search academic literature, summarize findings, and — crucially — cite real papers (unlike general chatbots, which routinely invent citations).

Perplexity works well for the background context stage. Use actual databases (JSTOR, PubMed, Web of Science) for the final citation list.

For writing

Use AI as an editor, not a ghostwriter. For university-level writing, the bar is argument quality and voice — both of which AI-generated prose kills. Let AI critique your argument, stress-test your thesis, and clean up your prose. Don't let it write for you.

For math and STEM

Wolfram Alpha — still unbeatable for step-by-step math

iTutor — for conceptual help and problem walkthroughs where you need the "why," not just the answer

GitHub Copilot — if you're in CS, this will save hours on routine coding

For schedule and productivity

Motion and Reclaim auto-schedule deep work blocks around your classes. They're pricey but worth it in a heavy semester — especially if you struggle with scheduling.

Notion AI and Mem are useful if your note-taking is chaotic and you need AI to pull connections out of your own scattered writing.

For languages

If you're taking a foreign language, AI conversation partners are a massive upgrade over textbook exercises. You can practice speaking, get corrections, and build fluency at your own pace.

Stay on the right side of integrity rules

Know your university's AI policy. Some allow AI for brainstorming and editing but not drafting. Some require disclosure. Some ban it for specific assignments. Ignoring this is a fast way to torch your academic record.

The bottom line

The best AI-using students in university aren't the ones with the most subscriptions. They're the ones who built a focused stack — usually one tutor (iTutor or similar), one research tool, one writing assistant — and used them consistently. Start there.
